Depending on their position in the ratings, analysts are grouped into echelons: the top ten ranked analysts make up the first echelon, followed by positions 11 through 30 for the second, from 31 to 60 for the third.
The sizes of the subsequent echelons are organized in accordance with the Fibonacci sequence. Each subsequent echelon, therefore, has a greater number of participants, making it difficult to rise through the ranks.
In every echelon all participants receive the same reward for placing within it (though points-based remuneration remains different for each participant). Maintaining or advancing one’s echelon position relative to the previous month is also taken into account when calculating financial rewards.
